Certifying Adjustable-Stroke Massage Guns for Export: What Each Market Requires
Percussion guns are simple products with a complicated shipment file. What has to be in place before a container of massage guns can legally fly or sail.
A massage gun is not complicated to certify as a product. It becomes complicated as a shipment, because it contains a substantial lithium battery and it travels in high volumes to markets with strict transport rules.
On the product side the requirements are conventional: CE, RoHS and EMC for the European Union, and FCC authorisation for the United States, since the drive electronics act as a radio-frequency source. A charger included in the box adds its own compliance obligations in several markets.
On the transport side, three documents are mandatory for lithium cells and packs: a UN38.3 test summary, a material safety data sheet and a shipper's declaration for dangerous goods. The declaration must name the correct UN number, and for batteries contained in equipment that is UN3481 under the lighter packing instruction.
Two details cause most of the delays. The carton markings must match the declaration exactly, including the battery watt-hour rating, and that rating has to be calculated from the actual cell rather than copied from an earlier model. Above 100 Wh the rules tighten sharply.
Aolemon ships adjustable-stroke massage guns with UN38.3 summaries, MSDS and correctly worded declarations, and keeps FCC and CE files current for every model. Tell us the destination and the channel and we will confirm the applicable classification before booking.
