Customising an Adjustable-Stroke Massage Gun: OEM, ODM and Private-Label Options
Most massage gun customisation is cosmetic, and the parts that are not cosmetic are the ones that decide whether the product earns a second order.
Customisation requests for massage guns arrive in two groups. One is about appearance: colour, finish, logo placement, packaging and the accessory head set. The other is about behaviour. The first group is cheap and fast; the second decides whether the product earns a second order.
Appearance work happens inside existing tooling and typically adds only artwork lead time. This is where most private-label programmes should begin, because the platform is already certified and the schedule risk is minimal.
Behaviour changes mean motor, gearbox, amplitude mechanism or firmware. Moving from a brushed to a brushless motor raises cost and changes the sound, but it transforms return rates. Changing the amplitude range requires new mechanical parts and a fresh drop test.
Firmware sits in between and is consistently underused. Speed ramps, pressure-based speed reduction and session timers are software, and they differentiate a product at almost no tooling cost while addressing the two complaints that dominate reviews: too aggressive at the top setting, and no guidance on how long to use it.
Aolemon runs OEM, ODM and private-label programmes on its adjustable-stroke platforms from Hangzhou, with brushless motors as standard and configurable firmware. Tell us your market and volume and we will map each request onto what is realistic.
