What Comes Next for EMS Beauty Devices in 2026 and Beyond
EMS hardware has been technically stable for years, so the next round of differentiation is arriving through firmware, sensing and accessories rather than through the output stage.
The output stage of an EMS device has barely changed in a decade and there is little left to win there. Competition has moved to the parts of the product that surround the current: what it measures, when it fires and what arrives in the box.
Sensing is the first front. Skin contact detection and impedance measurement let a device adapt its output to the user instead of asking them to guess, which removes the most common complaint in the category: discomfort at a setting that worked for somebody else.
Programmes are the second. A structured course with progress tracking addresses the real failure mode of body devices, which is that customers stop before anything appears to change. This is entirely software and it is cheap to add.
Accessories are the third. Reusable conductive pads, gel formats and garments designed around electrode placement are becoming a meaningful part of margin, and they create the repeat revenue that the device itself never will.
Aolemon builds EMS beauty devices with contact sensing and programme firmware on the platform, and treats accessories as part of the product rather than as an afterthought. Buyers mapping out a 2026 range are welcome to review the current platforms with us.
